A Toast to Our Award-Winning Brews 🍺
A Legendary Victory (x2!)
Cue the dramatic movie trailer voice... In a world where the country’s finest beers entered the arena... two (and a few others) emerged victorious…
LIGHT PILLAR.
UPSIDE BROWN.
DOUBLE GOLD MEDALISTS.
LEGENDS.
ICONS.
CUE THE DRAMATIC MUSIC.
That’s right, folks! Falling Sky has brought home not one, but TWO shiny gold medals from two of the most respected beer competitions in the country, and we are proudly (and humbly… but mostly proudly) shouting it from the pub rooftop:
Light Pillar won Gold in the Pilsner category at the Best of Craft Beer Awards, and Upside Brown Ale took Gold in the Classic North American Styles category at the Oregon Beer Awards.
This isn’t just a pat on the back. This is a full-on keg-standing, high-fiving, beer-spilling celebration.

LIGHT PILLAR: Gold Medal Czech Pilsner
Our Light Pillar Czech Pilsner stood out in a field of competitive entries from around the country and beyond. It’s clean, crisp, and perfectly balanced, delivering just the right touch of noble hop character with a soft, bready malt backbone and a finish that’s all finesse. The kind of beer that just feels right, whether you're enjoying it in the sun with friends or unwinding solo after a long day.
Brewed with Czech precision and a little Falling Sky flair, Light Pillar doesn’t need bells and whistles. It simply shows up and wins hearts (and awards). If you're into pilsners, or just beer that tastes like victory, this one belongs in your hand.
UPSIDE BROWN: Gold Medal Brown Ale
Meanwhile, our Upside Brown Ale is the underdog that refuses to be ignored. A beautiful balance between Northern English and American Brown styles, it brings a toasty malt aroma, hints of roasted nuts and chocolate, and finishes dry, clean, and endlessly drinkable.
It’s cozy without being heavy. It’s flavorful without being over the top. And it’s here to remind you that brown ales deserve your full attention.
Honestly, Upside Brown is the kind of beer that makes you do a double take mid-sip. You might even catch yourself saying, “Wait… how is this SO good?” And then you'll order another.
About the Competitions
The Best of Craft Beer Awards is held annually in Central Oregon and is quickly becoming one of the largest—and most competitive—craft beer contests in the country. It even draws international entries, so Light Pillar winning Gold here? That’s a pretty big deal.
